As part of Chelsea Fringe Festival, the popular Gin Garden will return with a ‘living botanical bar’ to Chelsea Physic Garden from 4pm until 8pm on Friday 7 June 2013. The Gin Garden living botanical pop-up bar at Chelsea Physic Garden will feature signature serves developed by ‘The Herball’ containing Sipsmith London Dry Gin, Metté Eau de Vie, herbs, summer fruits and local honey. The bar will demonstrate how every garden can act as nature’s medicine cabinet. A herbalist will be on hand to advise how to integrate these amazing ingredients into our diets. Regular admission charges to Chelsea Physic Garden will apply. The Tangerine Dream Café will also be serving light supper dishes until 7.30pm.
Or choose to spend the whole day learning about Sipsmith gin, its botanicals and how to use what is growing in your garden to make delicious drinks. The Gin Garden and The Herball are offering a whole day of botanical related activities for gin lovers on Friday 7 June. The day will begin at 10am with a private tour of Chelsea Physic Garden where guests will be introduced to the botanicals used in Sipsmith’s London Dry Gin, led by expert Herbalist Christopher Hedley. After a light lunch at the renowned Tangerine Dream Café, guests will be driven to visit Sipsmith’s Hammersmith distillery for a tour and tastings. Then it’s back to the Physic Garden at 4pm for drinks at the pop-up bar which will stay open until 8pm to serve drinks to all Chelsea Physic Garden visitors.
