Handyperson volunteer

In this section

Are you an amateur/retired handyperson who enjoys fixing things and would like to make a valuable contribution to the garden here at Chelsea Physic? We’re looking for a keen and enthusiastic volunteer handyperson to help us with our DIY projects within the garden that we don’t have time to do. From fixing signs and benches to putting up shelves and replacing handles, fixing tools – there is a great range of different projects to get involved in.

You must be capable and able to work independently. You must be already experienced, as we cannot provide on-the-job training, but this does not have to be professional experience – own DIY job experience is sufficient, so long as the finish is high quality. This role would suit someone who has some spare time on their hands and enjoys/gets a kick out of fixing things, for the benefit of one of the oldest botanical gardens in the UK.

This position is flexible – we are only asking for a couple of days a month, though anything more is appreciated.

Benefits include garden membership (free garden entry), 10% shop discount, reimbursement of travel costs and getting to work in a beautiful garden environment in the middle of Chelsea.

Please return the completed application form either at cbarnes@chelseaphysicgarden.co.uk or by post to:
