Throughout history, women have been keepers of botanical knowledge—healers, midwives, wise women and cunning folk, who harnessed the power of herbs and aromatic plants for medicine, ritual, and everyday well-being for persona use and to share with their families and communities.
Step into the roots of holistic care and plant wisdom in this immersive workshop which delves into their legacy, exploring the historical use of medicinal plants, remedies and traditions .
There will be an opportunity to engage in hands-on exploration of aromatic botanicals, including essential oils and discuss the current interest in herbalism and use of aromatic plants in contemporary healthcare.
Spotlighting seven key aromatic plants, their applications and properties and you will have the opportunity to channel your inner ‘wise-woman or man’ to create two herbal products to take home.
Teacher bio:
Tanya Moulding (TIDHA, MIFPA, CNHC)

Tanya is a practising clinical aromatherapist, aromachologist, botanical perfumer and teacher. Outside of her part-time NHS role in Oncology & Palliative care, Tanya creates olfaction and blending workshops, delivers conceptual fragrance ideas and sensory learning activities for special events, museums and public spaces and has taught historical perfumery at many English Heritage sites and local museums.
