Friends of The Chelsea Physic Garden are able to visit our partner gardens as part of their annual membership.
Great Dixter was the family home of gardener and gardening writer Christopher Lloyd – it was the focus of his energy and enthusiasm and fuelled over 40 years of books and articles. Now under the stewardship of Fergus Garrett and the Great Dixter Charitable Trust, Great Dixter is an historic house, a garden, a centre of education, and a place of pilgrimage for horticulturists from across the world.
As the first botanic garden in the UK (founded in 1621), at the UK’s oldest University, Oxford Botanic Garden occupies a world-class position in terms of its history and academic location. Harcourt Arboretum (acquired by the University in 1947), a 15 minute drive from Oxford, contains some of the finest conifer collections in the UK set within 130 acres of historic Picturesque landscape.
Botanical heritage and stunning landscapes make Borde Hill the perfect day out for horticultural enthusiasts, country lovers and families alike. Created by Colonel Stephenson Robert Clarke from seeds gathered by the Great Plant Hunters of the early 1900s, the Edwardian Garden is renowned for its rare shrubs and champion trees.
The English Gardening School
Long established as the leader in Gardening tuition, The English Gardening School hold regular courses and one day events at Chelsea Physic Garden.
Rosemary Alexander VMM(Rhs), AIHort, FSGD, is Principal, owner and founder of The English Gardening School. She is one of the UK’s most influential garden designers and writers. She combines teaching, giving masterclasses worldwide and writing with maintaining her own much-photographed garden, open regularly to visitors from many parts of the world.
She is the author of several seminal books on the subject of garden design, most now translated into many languages.

Westminster University
With Covid-19 impacting on our ability to visit historic gardens in person, we have partnered with Westminster University to explore ways to bring the Chelsea Physic Garden to people at home. Together we have created an inclusive video tour which introduces you to the delights that this unique heritage site has to offer. By taking part in the study, you will provide invaluable feedback to help Westminster University and the Chelsea Physic Garden.

British Academy of Floral Art
The British Academy of Floral Art is a welcoming, friendly, award-winning flower arranging school with an international reputation and a nurturing, structured approach.
The Academy was founded in Devon in 2008 by friends, fellow floristry tutors and Master Florists, Julie Collins and Tina Parkes. Together, they have developed an exceptional programme of flexible, modular floristry courses for every stage of a flower-lover’s journey: hobbyist, absolute beginner, career changer or experienced florist.
