Chelsea Physic Garden Open Day Weekend

Chelsea Physic Garden is London’s oldest botanic Garden with over 4,000 different medicinal, herbal, edible and useful plants.
Founded by the Worshipful Society of Apothecaries of London in 1673 for apprentices to study the medicinal qualities of plants,.
Throughout the Chelsea History Festival weekend, there will be lots of special activities for families and visitors to enjoy, including:
- Pond dipping (11am – 4:30pm)
- Seed planting (11am – 4:30pm)
- Plant Art (11am – 4:30pm)
- Storytelling with Olivia Armstrong (11am, 12pm, 2pm and 3pm)
- Spotlight tours with Volunteer Tour Guides (various times)
These activities will be running throughout the day and are drop-in, therefore there is no need to pre-book.
Visitors can also learn about our diverse plant collection from all over the world, visit our recently restored Glasshouses, and enjoy the delights of The Physic Garden Café.
