The Storyteller:
Emily Hanna-Grazebook
Emily, a professional storyteller and singer from North London, has been immersed in the world of stories and music since childhood, growing up surrounded by Irish tales and folk songs. She believed in fairies, selkies, and angels, fostering a deep connection to myths, legends, and folklore that she now brings to life through her performances.
Under the name Dragonfly Tales, Emily has captivated audiences for nearly a decade, performing at prestigious venues like the Royal Academy of Arts and The National Gallery, as well as at story festivals across the UK. Her evening shows, “Stories for all Seasons,” are particularly popular, blending wordplay, audience participation, and live music from her band, CuriousHour, in performances that are described as magical and moving.
Emily’s love for storytelling extends beyond the stage to unique settings like ancient woodlands and steam trains, and most importantly, to her own home. She regularly tells stories to her son, Leo, and together they host the “Dragonfly Tales” podcast, which has reached over 200,000 downloads worldwide, offering free stories to inspire families everywhere.
