Living Medicine: Digestive Discomforts
Join us at Chelsea Physic Garden for the next instalment of the Living Medicine series. This one-day workshop delves into the fascinating world of digestion, offering insights into how your digestive system works, from common discomforts to the therapeutic actions of plants to improve your digestion system. You’ll explore key plant families, including parsley and cabbage, known for their digestive benefits, while creating your own herbal remedies.
Under the guidance of medical herbalist and author Alex Laird, you will learn hands-on techniques such as crafting grain and pulse dishes, digestive decoctions, mucilage powder mixes, and fresh pesto. This practical, immersive workshop combines plant identification, remedy making, and personalised health assessments, providing a holistic approach to improving digestion through natural methods.
