Living Medicine: Self-Care Basics
As spring begins to emerge in Chelsea Physic Garden, join us for the first session of the Living Medicine series, designed to provide you with a foundation in using foods and herbs for self-care. This one-day workshop will introduce you to the basics of herb therapeutics focusing on key plant families such as mint and will guide you through simple, practical remedies you can incorporate into your daily routine.
Course Tutor: Alex Laird
Led by medical herbalist and author Alex Laird, the workshop includes hands-on activities such as herb chewing, concocting herbal teas, preparing a breakfast smoothie and creating your own herb crush.
This course is perfect for anyone interested in the healing properties of plants and foods, health, gardening, the process of growing and eating and transforming plants into simple, effective remedies.

The fee includes entry to the Garden, lunch in the Physic Garden restaurant, handouts and herbal remedies to take home.

This event will take place at the Garden and in our Learning Classroom space and will go ahead whatever the weather. You should dress appropriately for the Great British weather. Please bring your own apron if you wish.
