Mindful Nature Connection Workshop
Enjoy the Chelsea Physic Garden for a summer evening workshop outdoors with The Mindfulness Project.
This workshop is an invitation to get away and take some time just for yourself without the need to leave London. Over the course of the evening, you will be gently guided through practices and exercises that will allow you to slow down, reconnect with nature, and be reminded of the inner sense of ease and presence that is always just a few mindful breaths away.
About the Workshop
Held in the urban retreat of Chelsea Physic Garden, participants will have the opportunity to relax in the grounds before the session, helping them to settle into stillness, away from busyness. Using mindfulness practice in nature as a way of anchoring in the present moment, the session will allow us to explore both the hidden sanctuary of the Garden and, with practice, our own minds.
Through cultivating the key attitudes of mindfulness, including present-moment awareness and non-judgment, we will explore how mindfulness can help us return to meet the challenges of everyday life with greater ease, connection, and compassion.
This workshop is part of our Chelsea Physic Garden’s 350 anniversary year.
This session will include:
- Guided mindfulness practice.
- Mindfulness activities using the garden and nature as inspiration.
- Gentle mindful movement and mindful walking.
- Periods of silence and group reflection toward the end of the session.
The workshop is suitable for beginners and experienced mindfulness meditators alike. It offers the perfect opportunity to reconnect with your practice if it has lapsed, with many finding that attending the session offers motivation to help restart or support an ongoing mindfulness practice. Those new to mindfulness will be welcomed and supported within a community of like-minded people.
