Myths, Mosses, Monsters and Myxxghxhgsgh: Queer Ecology After Dark
As a part of our A Dash of Lavender programme: we welcome you to join us in celebrating LGBTQ+ History Month and our a Brush with Nature art theme in this engaging and unique workshop.
We will begin the evening by exploring one of London’s most bewitching garden by night, venturing through the lens of queer ecology. Led by artist-researcher Kirsty Badenoch, we’ll be blending science with folklore to shapeshift our way between the realms of humans, plants, mosses and mycelium.
As our eyes adjust to the darker and lesser known secrets of the natural world, we’ll uncover luminescent wonders visible only by night; frolic in the rarest fronds, and heighten our ultra-sensitivity to new ways of seeing, being and relating.
The workshop will include a combination of storytelling, knowledge-sharing, meditations and collage making – no prior art experience necessary!
