Printmaking Workshop for LGBTQ+Families
Celebrate LGBTQ+ History Month and our A Brush with Nature theme in a Printmaking Workshop for LGBTQ+ Families at Chelsea Physic Garden, led by Queer Art Club London. over our gardens through the queer myths and legends connected to the plants you find growing all around you.
This workshop will begin with a walk around Chelsea Physic Garden, here you will learn more about the plants and their stories.
You will then be invited to discover a plant of your own and to create a myth for your new discovery. We will then head to the studio to create beautiful mono-prints from the leaves and plants inspired by the Garden.
This workshop is for LGBTQ+ families suitable for children and adults from 18 months and up. All materials will be provided.

About Finn Yvo:
This workshop is run by artist Finn Yvo, founder of Queer Art Club London. Their art facilitation centres community and creativity. They work regularly with groups across London, using drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking and mixed media making as a means of connecting communities and centring their voices. Their facilitation practice centres play, community and celebrate difference.
For this workshop Yvo combines their love of mono printing with their passion for the queer mythology of plants.
About Queer Art Club London:
Queer Art Club London, was founded and is facilitated by artist and arts facilitator Finn Yvo. It is a welcoming art space for LGBTQ+ people to meet, play and be creative together. The art club was designed to create a community art space which welcomes people with all levels of experience from beginners to established artists. Workshops range from drawing, painting, book-binding, sculpture, shadow puppet theatres and more. The club takes place in Dalston London, at Finn’s studio in Hackney and in a range of pop up residencies across London.
