Performers

Of Ghosts and Other Forms

Of
Ghosts and Other Forms accidentally became a band, meeting through the East London warehouse scene and Birmingham gigs where they played together at after-parties and jam sessions. Initially only an experiment, the combination of sounds and styles worked a little too well, and in January 2020 they began writing songs, unaware that the world was about to pull them apart. Despite the isolation of 2020, music kept them together; it was their salvation as the world crumbled. Their sound artfully melds electronic and organic sounds – putting flutes through vocoders and looping emotive four-part harmonies. “There is a beautiful musicality in this electronic disassembly”. Recently featured by BBC Introducing, they are inspired by a collective love of Bonobo, Kiasmos, and Bicep, and by their collaborations with producers Nuage and DYVR. Of Ghosts and Other Forms build textural soundscapes punctuated by musings of resilience, and the tangled beauty tied up in (lost) love. They gently celebrate openness and acceptance of people in all their different shapes and relationships.

Sivu

Produced by longstanding collaborator Charlie Andrew (Alt-J, London Grammar, Marika Hackman), Wild Horse Running is the third album from Cambridgeshire musician James Page, aka Sivu. Wild Horse Running is out now, released 9th June via Square Leg Records. A dense, inventive and deeply rewarding record that explores themes of identity, purpose, fatherhood and human connection  – Wild Horse Running follows his widely acclaimed albums Sweet Sweet Silent (2017) and Something On High (2014), receiving praise from publications including The Guardian, The Sunday Times, NME, The Observer, DIY, Dork, The Line Of Best Fit, CLASH Magazine + more. Taking influence from acts including Hot Chip, SBTRKT, LCD Soundsystem and Beck – the album was written amidst his battle with the debilitative inner ear condition Ménière’s disease, which previously threatened to derail his music career.
