Alongside her non-executive roles, Sarah is a Senior Advisor at OMERS Private Equity and a Board advisor on strategy, leadership, and digital transformation.
On her appointment Sarah said:
“I am honoured and delighted to join Chelsea Physic Garden as its new Chair. Over the course of more than 350 years, successive custodians have safeguarded this remarkable garden as a place of study of useful plants. Thanks to them, it remains a haven of beauty, biodiversity and discovery. I have been warmly welcomed by the present-day custodians of this special place, a talented leadership team and an ambitious and committed board of Trustees. Together, we are shaping the Garden’s most ambitious plans yet, ensuring even greater access to, and enjoyment of, its unique collections. It is a privilege to play a part in this next phase of Chelsea Physic Garden’s story.”
The Garden’s Director, Sue Medway MBE, said:
‘We are thrilled to have Sarah join the Board and welcome both her breadth of experience and enthusiasm for the Garden’s mission. This is an exciting moment for the Chelsea Physic Garden as we look ahead to our future and the launch of our ten-year strategy. I look forward to working with Sarah and the Board to realise the Garden’s ambition.’
As an independent charity Chelsea Physic Garden is governed by a board of trustees. This dedicated group of volunteers lend their time, experience, and passion each year to safeguard the legacy of our Garden.
