We are very happy to launch the Chelsea Physic Garden Podcast. A big part of the Glasshouse Restoration Project is finding ways to talk to people about plants. Podcasts are a great way to do this. They let us reach lots of people in a fun and engaging way. We teamed up with our friends at Belvoir Farm for these three episodes.
Hosted by Jessica Regan and Ned Sedgwick these episodes tell you all about Ginger, Hibiscus and Orange. Jessica is an award-winning podcast host and actor. She is well known for roles on the BBC, including ‘Doctors’. Her podcast ‘Best Pick’ has now also been made into a book. Ned is a podcast producer and host. He is best known for the BBC’s ‘GrownupLand’. Ned consults with organisations on audio strategy. He has worked with Chatham House and Google to create podcasts.
Our Podcast is all about People, Plants and Place. Ned and Jessica explore the history, culture and science of plants. They talk to guests about how plants are used in their lives. They talk to each other about what they have learned. They even go behind the scenes at Belvoir Farm and talk to them about how plants become drinks.
This mini-series will be the first of many so make sure you subscribe. Later this year we will release series two. Series two will focus on the key themes of our 350-year anniversary.
