Interpretation Scriptwriter
Chelsea Physic Garden is seeking to appoint our first Interpretation Scriptwriter to deliver the Interpretation Script for the Glasshouses Restoration Project. The Content Outline has already been developed and needs to be researched and written. It will also need to be adapted throughout the delivery of this project based on Audience Testing and the recommendations of the Interpretation Steering Group. The Scriptwriter will ensure that all content is factually correct, accessible, engaging and audience-focused.
Key Deliverables:
- Researching and writing all Interpretation for the Glasshouses Restoration Project as based on the Content Outline to an agreed high standard within the agreed time frame;
- Working with the Deputy Director (Visitor Experience) to incorporate feedback from Audience Testing and the Interpretation Peer Group to refine the interpretation content throughout the delivery of this work;
- Work with the Head of Living Collection to ensure we are telling factually correct, inspiring plant and people centred stories about the natural world;
- Ensuring that all content is written to the agreed standards for our audiences (reading age of 11, scientific terminology explained, etc).
- Refine word counts if necessary for each piece of interpretation and communicate these with the Interpretation Design Team.
- Ensure Global Voices are represented in the written interpretation, and identify individuals to be part of our Digital Audio Tour.
